Remembrance Day Parades
2870 RCACC will be supporting 3 Remembrance Day Parades on Monday, 11 November, 2019. Participation in the parade is strongly encouraged. Dress for all parades is full dress uniform with tie, parka, black gloves and beret. If you have not been issued a uniform yet, please wear dark pants, collared shirt, winter coat and gloves. Make sure that you attend the parade where your name is listed.
Bells Corners parade – This is our primary parade. Arrive at the Bells Corners Legion, located at 4026 Old Richmond Rd for 0900hrs. Bus will depart at 0920hrs for the Centrepointe parade. Cadets will march in the parade and return to the Legion for a quick lunch. Pickup is at 1230hrs.
Carp parade – Cadets (isted below) are to arrive at the war memorial, located by Falldown Lane by 1000hrs. Cadets will be assisting with setting up for the ceremony, handing out programs as well as acting wreath layers. Pick up is at 1140hrs. A reception is being hosted at the Carp Fairgrounds following the service for all those attending.
The following cadets will be attending the Carp Parade:
Kanata parade – Cadets (listed below) must arrive at the Village Green Memorial Park, located at Colchester Square, for 1000hrs. Cadets will be assisting with distributing parade programs, raising and lowering the flag, and acting as wreath layers. Pick up is at 1215hrs. A reception is being hosted at the Legion branch after the parade.
